About Us

Our stylists and missions are dedicated to boosting clients' self esteem and ensuring they leave the salon feeling 100% more confident with their new look. At Sisu, no two days are alike! The lively, welcoming atmosphere and friendly stylists all help to make sure you feel as comfortable as possible during your visit. Our social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram are updated daily with photos, announcements, competitions and snippets of everyday life in the Salon.

Meet the team

SALLY - MANAGING DIRECTOR

A mum with a dynamic, infectious approach to life, Sally has created businesses within the hair, beauty, nutrition and wellbeing industry with a 360-degree entrepreneurial gift. A managing director, post -grad and author in a confident and highly motivated sense, communicates well with all around, having the skills to empower people, listen and encourage them to gain their goals and objectives. Sally is a global motivational speaker. She applies her knowledge to others. A bright, friendly, loyal and approachable manner reassures all that are in her company of her commitment to them. Her skills remain optimistic, her disability & dyslexia is used to coach others. Her zany personality always has people laughing. Sally is training towards ministry & currently sits on a disability forum within the CofE. She is passionate about charity work.

EMMA - EXPERIENCED STYLIST, NAIL TECH, BARBER

Emma's vocation started in 1990 & she holds NVQ Level 3 in Hairdressing. Emma enjoys attending courses and enthuses in competition work. She's attended the Manchester and Birmingham Wella Studios. Her extensive work includes cutting, colour correction and advanced colour. She is trained in the application of MAC make-up (#mua) and also in gel nails, OPI, CND, Shellac.  Emma is a very passionate stylist and quite jovial. In June 2014 she joined Sisu and she states "It's a pleasure to be part of such a positive and hard working team." Emma thrives on making clients look and feel good which is all part of Sisu's professional and friendly service.

Mille -Advancing Stylist, Nail Tech

 Millie has recently been awarded a distinction in her practical hairdressing and theory exams. She is enjoying her advanced  vocation and is always eager to learn more. Millie has an outgoing, quirky sense of humour. She is kind and compassionate and nothing is ever too much for her to attempt. Millie is popular to all clients and she loves being challenged with hair art and nails. If you cant see her on the shop floor, she'll be sat at her nail desk creating lots of new & fancy nails.

We will train & assess you in house so you'll earn while you learn.

CAM - BARBER, ACCOUNTS/FINANCE

Cam is a trained barber and graduated from Manchester Barber Academy in Summer 2017. He attended Offley School and Sandbach Boys' School where he completed his O & A levels in Sixth Form, Maths & Sport being his favourite subjects. Cam is a keen golfer, he also attends football matches and plays football himself. Cam is a natural communicator with all people and he gets to express this in his work at Sisu – the kids love him. Cam is looking forward to completing his degree in Business Management at Manchester Met Uni  and work-based learning at Sisu.

JAMIE - Associate Director & Counsellor

Jamie is a specialist fertility counsellor and an integrative therapist whose work is deeply rooted in the person-centred perspective. She endeavours to offer you an empathic and non-judgemental therapeutic experience, that is designed to make you feel accepted and safe to explore the furthest corners of your life. Her ethos is I do not focus on issues, I focus on people, and she truly believes that in the right environment anyone can gain a greater understanding of their self and facilitate the change they want to see in their own lives. She believes that you are the expert in your own life and that her job is simply to support you during difficult times and together we can find the best way forward for you! A postgraduate diploma in counselling psychology from Keele University., Jamie until recently worked in a busy GP's surgery. She is a bereavement counsellor with the family support team at St. Luke's Hospice, now she is working as a private practitioner . She is passionate about working with families through their infertility journey and have received specialist BICA training to work with such issues such as gender difference, same sex family building, the implications of 3rd party donation, and fertility procedures such as IVF and IUI.
